Kyle Monangai is now on the roster after his 36-point Bears burst, and Bryce Young was added late as a live quarterback alternative for future weeks. Those moves do not change Week 1’s lineup, but they improve the menu.
The fair criticism is that the bench may now be cluttered with too much defense. Texans 28 and Seahawks 30 both sat unused while the Chargers managed 10. That is not catastrophic, but three defenses consume oxygen. McConkey’s Questionable tag and Alec Pierce’s Questionable tag matter more for next week than hoarding every special-teams mood swing. The injury desk makes that plain.
No Monday suspense exists here. The practical next step is to protect the receiver room, not to paint another dramatic corner. Waiver-desk suggestions like Devaughn Vele or Stefon Diggs make sense if health questions linger, but the first cut should come from excess roster decoration, especially on defense. Paintin’ Manning already has enough color. It now needs sharper spacing.
