The California Stoners officially opened their 2026 campaign Wednesday night, beginning simultaneous title chases in the Rollmerican Football League and the Tony Romo Fan Appreciation League.

California’s opening-night assignment is split across two formats. In Rollmerican, the Stoners begin against Lasso’s Goldfish in a touchdown-heavy league where every trip to the end zone can swing a matchup. In Tony Romo, the same franchise opens against Tush Push Nation in full PPR, where target volume and weekly consistency carry the race.
The Tony Romo side struck first Wednesday. Drake Maye finished with 14.82 fantasy points and the New England defense added 6.00, giving California a 20.82–13.40 lead. The projected final now favors the Stoners 117.89–109.50.
The Rollmerican opener is only beginning. Lasso’s Goldfish holds a 24–0 advantage after the first NFL game, but California’s core—Josh Allen, Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams, Drake London and Rashee Rice—remains ahead on the schedule. Yahoo’s live projection currently has the Stoners within six, 224–218.
