California’s recent Rollmerican transactions have expanded its reserve choices. Courtland Sutton arrived for Denzel Boston on Sep. 7 at 4:44 p.m.; Aaron Jones Sr. followed for Chris Rodriguez Jr. two minutes later. Deebo Samuel Sr. replaced TreVeyon Henderson on Sep. 10 at 7:45 p.m. Those moves were confirmed in the Sep. 12 update.
The roster now offers several ways to respond to a changing lineup. Sutton, Deebo and Quentin Johnston provide receiver alternatives. Jones and MarShawn Lloyd provide running-back alternatives. That is useful coverage across positions, but a deeper list of names does not establish that every option has a dependable weekly workload.
Deebo’s 23 completed bench points make the distinction especially clear. The production is relevant to evaluating the player, but it cannot be added to California’s Week 1 total. Nor does one completed game prove how he should be ranked against every other reserve in a future matchup.
The next roster evaluation should compare actual roles, scoring opportunities and the positions California needs covered. Sutton and Jones were acquired before Deebo, so the receiver addition should be assessed alongside the entire bench rather than treated as an isolated headline. The club has increased its options; turning one of those options into a good decision is the work still ahead.
