Six Early Starters Must Set Rice’s Target

California led Lasso’s Goldfish 52–38 in the Sep. 12, 11:30 a.m. PT update. The projected finish favored Lasso 214–208, with seven California starters and eight Lasso starters remaining. The Stoners’ 14-point advantage therefore came with less remaining scoring capacity by player count, although player count alone cannot value a lineup.

Josh Allen, Jonathan Taylor, Drake London, Tyler Warren, David Montgomery and Jake Bates were all scheduled for Sunday at 10 a.m. PT. That is California’s main scoring window. Rashee Rice, scheduled for Monday at 5:15 p.m., provides the final opportunity after the rest of the club’s lineup is complete.

Lasso’s schedule spreads the pressure across Sunday. Derrick Henry and Chris Olave are among its early starters; Jayden Daniels and Tucker Kraft follow at 1:25 p.m. Javonte Williams and CeeDee Lamb are scheduled for Sunday night. California could finish its early games ahead and still have substantial opposition scoring to absorb.

The useful benchmark is the six-point projected gap, not a promise attached to the current lead. Rollmerican’s 12-point touchdowns make that margin fragile. California needs its early group to outperform the combined expectation enough to leave Rice a realistic Monday target. The saved scoreboard will require another verified update before any of those possibilities becomes a result.
