It does not subtract from the Rams unit’s 23 completed fantasy points in the Sep. 12, 11:30 a.m. PT league update.
Rollmerican makes defensive evaluation unusually consequential. California’s recorded total against Lasso’s Goldfish is 52, so the Rams account for a large portion of its banked production. That strong opening contribution deserves recognition without becoming an automatic argument for repeating the same selection every week.
A reported personnel loss introduces uncertainty, but the available report does not quantify a new fantasy projection or establish how the remaining defense will perform. The next decision should compare available units, opponents and scoring opportunities under this league’s rules. It should also account for any roster cost required to hold a second defense.
California has time to make that next-week assessment after its current lineup finishes. The immediate job remains the seven starters still unresolved in Saturday’s update. The forward-looking question is whether the Rams remain the best available defensive choice once the injury news and next opponent are considered together.
