Why California could consider it is straightforward. The Stoners have multiple bench receivers, with Deebo Samuel Sr. newly added and Quentin Johnston also available. Turning one wideout into a running-back lottery ticket would diversify the reserve room behind Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams and David Montgomery without touching the Week 1 lineup already in progress.
Bundy’s case would have to be about receiver depth. Adding Sutton could make sense if Bundy values another weekly wideout option more than the recently acquired Corum.
